Kurt Helmer (Associate Minister of Students)
I have been a member of FBCO since 2005. In that time I have served in youth ministry as a volunteer. Recently, in following God’s call in my life, I have entered vocational youth ministry. Hired as the Student Ministry Associate I desire to encourage youth to have a growing relationship with God so that they can reach their friends and the world, so that the world may know the saving grace of God. I love anything competitive; hockey, soccer, uno, chess, scrabble, boxing, etc. Philippians 1:27-28 is how I want my life to live out. It says: “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God.” I desire to live my life in a way that people see God through me.
