The Band

This is our worship band. Comprised mostly of students, the instruments range from drums, to guitars (all sorts), to keys, to voices… even the occassional violin! If you play it, and want to sever God with it, then try out!! Tryouts are generally held at the begining of each school semester. We are a praise band dedicated to serving and worshiping Jesus Christ through our actions, words, and music. We learn not only the music we use to worship, but also how to better partake and lead in worship ourselves. Want to know more see Daniel Maasen.

Meeting Times:  Tuesdays/Wednesdays: 4:00 in the Loft

Ignite

This is our media/drama team!  Say you don’t play an instrument, but you are still very passionate about woship.  Ignite allows the tech-savy student and the drama-inclined student serve God through these kinds of talents.  Worship isn’t just singing. It’s giving God your everything. This is the type of thing you will be learning if you come to Ignite! Want to know more see Andrew Forshee for Drama and Connor Patterson for Media team.

Meeting Times:

Media Team: 4:00 in the Loft sound booth
Drama Team: 5:30 in the Loft hallway

MSU

Ministry Servant University. This ministry is a group of students who strive to become leaders in the present and future church. The goal of this ministry is to come along side of students and teach them the ins and outs of ministry. Becoming a part of MSU is a privilege that requires a moderate reading capacity, a willing spirt to serve whenever called upon, and a heart to serve Jesus in any capacity available! Want to know more see Jonathan Downs.

Meeting Times:

5:30 in the D301

Learn what it means to be a student following hard after Christ in our culture!

Time: Thursday’s from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Meeting Locations: Middle School is meeting at Kyle and Kate Maasen’s home. High School is meeting at Darwin and Mary Zimmerman’s home.

What to bring: Bible, Pen and Followers Guide (will be provided to students)

Middle School and High School students will meet at separate homes with a family group (man and woman leader), for a time of accountability, prayer and the study of God’s Word. Groups will be co-ed and each home will have time in the beginning for snacks and fellowship. Middle School students will be going through a study called SWITCH and is about understanding what it means to live a Christian Life and make the switch to follow God’s Way and not the World’s Way. High School students will be going through FORGOTTEN GOD and is about reversing our neglect of the HOLY SPIRIT. We talk about God the Father and Jesus Christ, but what about the 3rd part of the Trinity, the Spirit?
